Experience

Graduate of the Postgraduate Study of European Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the University of Warsaw (2008-2009), and of the Postgraduate Study of Medical Law, Bioethics and Sociology of Medicine at the University of Warsaw (2009-2010). He also completed the Postgraduate Study of Copyright Law at the Institute of Invention Law at the Jagiellonian University (2014-2015), the Postgraduate Study of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Warsaw (2015-2016) and the Postgraduate Study "Exercise of the Function of Inspector of Personal Data Protection" at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences (2017-2018). He served his judicial apprenticeship at the District Court in Warsaw and passed the judicial examination in 2003. Member of the District Chamber of Legal Advisers in Warsaw since 2005.

    Legal counsel since 2005, he has been working with BSJP since 2019. He has advised on invention and trademark licensing agreements (e.g. advised a French entrepreneur running an international restaurant chain on the conclusion and execution of franchising agreements), on advertising campaigns (e.g. (e.g. advising a French company on the implementation of sales support software, for a French licensor of scanning software and hardware).

    He prepares due diligence reports in the field relating to industrial property rights. He advises on concluding an agreement for the acquisition of rights from registration of Community industrial designs (e.g. a design for a device performing the function of a traffic signal), trademarks (including Community ones), patents.

     

    He is also involved in data protection law. Among other things, he was responsible for the legal aspects of implementing and maintaining the principles of personal data protection in one of the largest shopping centres in Europe and in a capital group whose business was the production and sale of joinery. This work also included regular legal assistance to the internal departments of the aforementioned entities with regard to personal data protection (e.g. when recruiting employees, when organising promotional events with consumers, when promoting goods and services aimed at consumers, organising so-called employee bonuses).

    In addition, he has dealt with personal data protection issues in ventures involving the implementation of business management computer systems, so-called ERP (e.g. drafting data processing outsourcing agreements in connection with the need to migrate personal data to a new business management system). He is currently involved in projects involving adaptation to the requirements of RODO (mainly insurance industry, start-ups, automotive industry, health care industry).
